Onboarding event 5: Good Teaching at the University of Bern

At the event, we will present the University of Bern's goals in the area of teaching and give you an insight into the organization. You will find out what tasks you are responsible for in supervising students and doctoral students and and who is in charge of other tasks.
You will also be given an overview of the support available for teaching and learn how you can use it to design and optimize courses. You will try out selected tools, gain know-how and exchange ideas with others about good teaching. Take away new ideas for the further enhancement of your teaching.

The lunch takes place together with the participants of the introductory course “Communication and Marketing”. The course times therefore overlap.

Venue: University House, Schlösslistrasse 5, 3008 Bern

This course is compulsory for professors who have recently joined or been appointed to a position that involves teaching. It must be attended within the first year of entry/appointment. In addition, all professors who have been teaching at the University of Bern for some time and would like to refresh their knowledge are cordially invited
