General information
This document describes the sheets contained in the .xlsx file "GMBA_Paper Overview_Month_Year.xlsx". 
The aim of this file is to provide an update of papers on mountain biodiversity published during the course of the preceding month. The list is based on online publication databases and generated using a set of mountain biodiversity-related keywords in addition to the GMBA mountain inventory v2.0. The inventory is used as an initial filter to extract publications pertaining specifically to mountains. Only the publication title and abstract are used for the search and the extraction. 

Taxonomic attributions are performed using the GBIF backbone taxonomy and manual cleaning. Manual cleaning is also performed to remove papers that are falsly attributed to this mountain biodiversity literature corpus. 

Notes of caution: 
1. we provide no guarantee that this list of publications contains only mountain biodiversity related publications and that taxonomic attributions are correct. We are doing our best to guarantee and improve quality but errors are possible. 
2. we are not yet in a position to clean the database and remove special character, capital letters, etc. before its publication. 
3. this is work in progress and we are grateful for constructive feedback and suggestions (gmba.ips@unibe.ch)
4. we take no responsibility in the case of changes performed to any of the sheets contained in this file
5. this list is primarily for individual use and not for redistribution. Please share the download link if you want to share this list.  


Sheets
- Dashboard: this sheet enables users to sort all publications listed in MntBiommyr according to a set of categories.
- MntBiommyr [mm=month; yr=year]: this is the master sheet containing all the publications extracted according to the approach outlined above
- lookup / gmbaLookup / TaxoLookup: lookup tables necessary for the sorting enabled in the Dashboard
