Week 39: Trade and Environment
The relationships between trade and environment have several facets, including issues such as the resort to unilateral trade measures for environmental purposes, the status of process and production methods (PPMs) within the WTO or the relationships between multilateral environmental treaties (MEAs) and WTO. These issues and others will be analyzed, with a special emphasis being put on the case-law of the WTO dispute settlement bodies.
The links between climate change and WTO will also be dealt with, looking at the many interlinks between the international trade and international climate agendas in the post-Copenhagen landscape.
