Welcome to the University of Bern's online course ‘Research Integrity’!

The University of Bern recognises the importance of research integrity. In addition to ensuring the integrity of its research activities, it actively promotes knowledge on good research practice. In addition to training courses in degree programmes and graduate schools, it offers all members of the University the online course ‘Research Integrity’ on its learning platform ILIAS. The course teaches the basic principles of good scientific practice and provides an overview of the international standards for conduct with scientific integrity. Course participants are sensitised to the topic and their awareness of research integrity throughout the entire research process is strengthened.

Quick guide

The time required for the core modules is about 6-8 hours, for the supplementary modules an additional 2-3h.
Participants can complete each module with a test. If the tests on all core modules are passed, a certificate can be issued to the participant. The certificate is recognised by most institutions as proof of knowledge on research integrity.

Note: The course is only licensed and reserved for students and employees of the University of Bern.
