Kursbeschreibung
UBELIX is the central Linux HPC cluster at the University of Bern. The usage of UBELIX is free for students and researchers associated with the University of Bern. The objective of this hands-on training is to learn how to utilize UBELIX for your scientific research.

The following topics are discussed:

- What is HPC and why do we need it?
- Managing jobs with SLURM.
- Loading pre-installed software and building/installing additional software.
- Troubleshooting faulty jobs.
- A first look at parallel computation.

Training language is english and the training is held at the University of Bern.
