SCENARIO
Keep media up-to-date in learning environments
SITUATION
- There are complex or several learning environments (e.g., learning modules) in which images, graphics, audio or video files are used several times
- These media have to be updated from time to time; for this purpose, finding and editing every single location where they are used should not be necessary
IMPLEMENTATION
Media Pool
Example from the Faculty of Science
- A Media Pool is created
- Folders are created for different media, including subfolders if necessary
- Files are stored in the folders
- Media from the Media Pool are inserted into the learning environments
- To update a medium, a new file is uploaded centrally in settings of the respective medium
- The medium is then automatically updated in all places where it is used
