Manual: Poll

1. Create a poll

	Click on «Add New Item».
	Select «Poll».
	Give the poll a «Title» and enter a description if necessary.
	Click on «Add Poll».

2. Enter questions & answer options

	Enter your question text.
	Select the preferred mode. «Anonymous»: Votes are anonymous. «Personal»: Course administrators can see how each participant voted.
	Define how many answers the participants are allowed to give. 1: Corresponds to a single-choice question. >1 : Corresponds to a multiple-choice question.
	Enter the answer options. Use «+» und «–» to add or remove answer options.
	Click «Save».

3. Adjust settings

	Open the poll's settings. From outside the poll, open the poll's actions menu and select «Settings».  From within the poll, go to the «Settings» tab.
	Activate the «Online» checkbox, if you want the poll to be visible to users.
	You can set a «Limited Availability Period». Outside of this period, the poll is not visible to users, whether online or offline.
	If necessary, set a «Limited Voting Period». Outside of this period, users cannot participate in the poll.
	Select if and when the results of the poll will be displayed to the participants.
	Select how the results of the poll will be displayed.
	Select the order in which the results of the poll will be displayed.
	If activated, the participants are offered a text box for comments in addition to the predefined answer options.
	Click «Save».

4. View, delete and export voting results

	Go to the «Results» tab. From outside the poll, open the poll's actions menu and select «Settings». Then switch to the «Results» tab next to the «Settings».  Within the poll, the «Results» tab is located next to the «Settings».
	To delete the results, click on «Delete All Votes».
	To export the results, click «Export» and choose whether to create a csv or excel file.
